I’ve got two more dates for my Launceston screenwriting workshops. Each workshop is different, all levels of experience are welcome, and there is the opportunity to read and get feedback on your work if you’re interested in doing that. Jukebox Story are once again looking for stories inspired by pop songs for a special flash fiction show at the North London Literary Festival.  This time the theme is Identity, so choose a song and write an 200 word story.  Me, Myself & I, That’s Not My Name, Who Are You, The Great Pretender, My Name Is (Slim Shady), these are just a few of the possibilities.

The best stories will be performed at the festival on 3 April by hosts  Stephanie Gerra and Em Fleming.  The best story on the day as voted for by the audience wins a unique Jukebox Story USB mixtape and gets published on our website.

Stories must be no longer than 200 words and emailed as a word doc to jukeboxstory@gmail.com by 24 March.

Jukebox Story are once again looking for short stories inspired by pop songs for their October show at London’s Bloomsbury Festival.

This time the theme is Medicine and Revitalisation (one of the themes of the Bloomsbury Festival) so choose a song and write an 800 word story, and the best will be performed at The Harrison on 18 October by regular Jukebox Story hosts Steve Keyworth and Stephanie Gerra.

The winning story as voted for by the audience will receive a unique Jukebox Story USB mixtape and be published at http://www.jukeboxstory.com and on the Bloomsbury Festival website.  So get scribbling and send your story to jukeboxstory@gmail.com by 10 October.

Stories must be no longer than 800 words (but can be shorter).  They must be typed and double spaced, saved as a word document and emailed to jukeboxstory@gmail.com by 10 October 2013.  Remember to number pages and to include your name, email address and a phone number too.  Stories not adhering to these terms will not be considered.  Please note, if your story is successful, we like the writer to be there on the night to hear your story read, so if you are unable to attend Jukebox Story reserves the right to make last minute changes to the line-up.
